Graydon Butler, Head of Operations
Graydon joined Moor Park May 2007. He has managed various structured finance portfolios, which have included real estate, leasing, asset receivables, CMBS, leverage finance and tax based lending for Nomura International Plc and Société Générale. At Nomura Graydon managed the loan operations for the Integrated Finance’s Group core investments These have included, Centre Parcs (a €450m sale and leaseback of 7 holiday parks across Europe), Earls Court & Olympia (a €245m acquisition bridge facility to support the acquisition of the London exhibition centres), Senad Investments Limited (a £107.5m acquisition facility in connection with the acquisition of Senad Group and Senad Holding Limited), Specialist Dental Services Limited (a £50m acquisition facility to support the acquisition of James Hull Group, one of the UK’s leading specialist/cosmetic dental practices in the UK). Prior to joing Nomura Graydon was at Société Générale where he managed a large and diverse portfolio of assets with a combined commitment value of €3.5bn. The more notable transactions including the £386 million tax-based finance lease purchase involving the sale of a UK finance lessor company owned by Abbey National Treasury Services plc to a subsidiary of Eurotunnel plc. Three UK Gilt reverso repo transactions with a combined value in excess if £1bn. Mr Butler was also the lead correspondent in the warehousing of a £549m real estate portfolio and subsequent closure of the second CMBS conduit platform for Société Générale (launced in May 2005, it involved the issuance of 5 classes of floating rate notes ranging from AAA through to BB).

John Darby, Chief Legal Officer
Prior to joining Moor Park, John worked within the Transaction Legal Group at Nomura. He joined Nomura’s Transaction Legal team in June 2002 and provided legal and transactional support to the Fixed Income Group within Nomura.  John has worked extensively on many structured finance and real estate transactions and has also supported Nomura’s securitisation/CDO business.  Prior to joining Nomura, John worked for the Structured Finance Group of the UK Law Firm Linklaters, in London and Tokyo. Prior to joining Linklaters he worked for the Japanese law firms Tsunematsu, Yanase and Sekine (“TYS”) and, following the merger of TYS with Nagashima Ohno, Nagashima Ohno Tsunematsu.  John worked in Tokyo for a total of 6 years.  During this period he worked predominantly on a range of capital markets/securitisation and structured banking transactions.  John is admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Courts of the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.  He holds the degrees of Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Diploma in Legal Education from the Australian National University and a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is an Australian citizen.

Marianne Deschard, Analyst/Intern
Prior to joining Moor Park, Marianne worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London, focusing on equity investments in the Russian market. Marianne is currently a student at ESCP-EAP in Paris, and she expects to obtain her masters degree in management in June 2009. She is a French and American citizen, and speaks French, English, and Russian.

Carley Grey, PA to COO/CFO & CLO
Prior to joining Moor Park, Carley worked for Business Environment Group as Centre Manager. Prior to this Carley completed an ILEX Legal Secretaries Diploma at North West Kent college where she gained an overall Distinction.

 

Tom Hickman, Vice President - Head of Valuations
Prior to joining Moor Park, Tom was working at Legal & General as a Senior Asset Manager where his primary role was to enhance the capital value of the Industrial Property Investment Fund portfolio. He had direct responsibility for £400 million worth of property. Other responsibilities included assisting the Investment Advisor in the preparation of the strategy document, overseeing the development pipeline, identifying active management opportunities in the portfolio and makes sales and purchases in line with fund strategy. In his position prior to Legal & General his primary role was to enhance the capital value of the Retail Parks sub-fund portfolio where he had direct responsibility for 1,050,000 sq ft of retail parks and solus assets amounting to £240 million worth of property. He holds a Land Management & Development MSc from University of Reading. Tom is a British Citizen.

Andrew Hobley, Associate
Andrew comes to us with a wealth of experience. He previously worked for Cherokee Investment Partners (a $1.3bn fund specialising in contaminated land transactions). Previously, Andrew worked at Hutchison 3G and LEK Consulting where he advised FTSE 250 companies & private equity investors on business issues relating to corporate strategy. Andrew holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town and a Masters in Chemistry from Oxford University.

Bhobinder Hundal, Technical Director
Bhobinder Hundal is Technical Director at Moor Park and will focus on managing and ensuring a fully compliant technical infrastructure. He is responsible for developing a technical infrastructure strategy that will support Moor Park business growth objectives. Bhobinder has over 15 years experience in designing and implementing technical infrastructure projects. He has worked for J P Morgan, Guinness and CSC on a diverse range of technical projects ranging from trading systems, data warehousing and communication infrastructure. Bhobinder now focuses on solution design for hedge funds and “boutique” equity operations with emphasis on security and scalability. Bhobinder has a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from Sussex University.

Hazel Jones, PA to The Partners
Hazel joined Moor Park Capital Partners from GSC Group, a privately owned investment advisor. Prior to GSC, Hazel has had a long career in Banking working for both Nomura in the Asset Finance Group and Credit Suisse First Boston within Real Estate and Mergers and Acquisitions.

Terry Lines, Associate
Prior to joining Moor Park, Terry worked for 2 years at Operis, a financial modelling and project finance consultancy. He advised sponsors bidding for government contracts under the Public Finance Initiative, concentrating on the healthcare sector, and undertook model due diligence for all major lenders in PFI in the UK. He holds a master’s level degree and a B.A. in Mathematics from Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge University. Terry is a British Citizen.

David Pralong, Associate
Prior to joining Moor Park, David worked for BearingPoint in Paris where he was involved in consulting projects for BearingPoint’s client in Belgium and other major French companies. Prior to that he worked for Swiss Life in Lausanne. David holds a masters degree in management science from HEC Paris, a masters degree from La Sorbonne University in Human Resources and a masters degree from HEC Lausanne in Economics. He is a French and Swiss citizen and speaks French and English.

Gareth Stephens, COO/CFO
Prior to joining Moor Park, Gareth worked in London as Finance Director for Lloyds TSB’s Structured Finance businesses. A chartered accountant, he qualified with Price Waterhouse 1976-1979 before  joining JP Morgan where he spent the next 18 years.  He was Managing Director in charge of financial control over JP Morgan’s global derivatives operations in the mid-1990s before moving from London to Sydney where he was COO for JP Morgan’s investment banking operations. He then spent 2 years in Hong Kong as CFO for private equity funded internet company Asia Online before returning to London. Gareth has British and Australian citizenship and holds a degree in Engineering Science and Economics from Oxford University.

Dirk van Quaquebeke, Analyst
Prior to joining Moor Park, Dirk worked for Deutsche Bank in London where he, after finishing the global graduate program, joined the hedge fund group to oversee $1.0bn worth of investments. Dirk holds a MSc. in Economics and Finance from the Copenhagen Business School, a Master in International Management from ESADE/CEMS and a BSc. in Computer Science. He is a German citizen and speaks German, English and Spanish.

Mathieu Sauvestre, Analyst/Intern
Prior to joining Moor Park, Mathieu worked for the Club Mediterranee SA in Paris, as Project Manager in Africa and Middle-East for the Development Department. He is a student at HEC Paris, School of Management, and he expects to obtain a MSc. in Management in 2009. He is a French citizen and speaks French and English.

Matthew Tilbrook, Analyst
Matthew joined Moor Park from Operis, where he worked on financial modeling and financial model due diligence on a range of infrastructure projects. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral research associate in the Engineering Department at Cambridge University. Matthew holds a BSc(Hons) in Physics from the University of Western Australia and a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of New South Wales, and he is currently a Level II candidate in the CFA Program. He is an Australian citizen.
